Certified Great Northern Nut
I ran up to Northtown yard in NE Minneapolis this afternoon just to see what was going on. I had noticed there were a lot of locomotives parked there the last time I went past - about two months ago - and I figured with this virus stuff slowing everything down they might still be there. They were. There are so many locomotives parked here.
Lots of good reference material for weathering.

A couple more photos. I will probably run up there with my good camera and a long lens to get some close ups later.

If you look under the bridge in the last photo you can see the headlight of the one engine that was running and shunting some cars around.
Great shots thanx, and that is one worn out war bonnet!
A lot of those horses look like they've been rode too hard and put up wet...!
Are they by any chance retired from service and going back to the manufacturer for componet recovery?
