Newbie question on passenger cars

I'm sure this is probably one of those "duh" questions, but humour me please! :o

I'd love to run a HO passenger train of some sort on my yet to be finalised layout. However I realise that due to the length of the cars (one I have is GN Empire Builder) I need a lengthy curve - which to some extent is "cramping my style" as I'm trying to figure a track plan.

Question is, are there smaller passenger cars about? If so what's the shortest you can get?
 
To go with a shorter Passenger Car your going to have to go with some old time cars...which are are around 35'. Otherwise your going to need at least a 22" radius for the 73' to 85' cars...
