Just wanted to get some input on my new track plan. We are movig so I had to take the old layout down

, but the good news is that the new train room is has 4 walls so I can do an around the walls layout. The room is roughly 24 by 11. Im leaving the last 4 feet of the room for storage, tunnel access and electrical box access. Ho scale, minimum radius 30 inch, switches 6's and 8's, 1960's. Any suggestions welcome. Looking at it I forgot to add crossovers in the yard and on the main

.
New model railroader here
Well being new it looks great to me! I hope to be able to do something like that someday in my basement...
Nice job

You might want to throw in some curves. I find long straight stretches are a bit boring. By adding slight curvature to the long straights you will give the train that snake like look that is so appealing.
Yeah crossovers would be good. You could also do a compound yard ladder for the yard, would give you longer yard tracks.
Looks like a good layout to make up trains and get them running.
