Hey gang, I'm going to call myself a nube, last had a layout about 25 years ago, so starting from scratch. My problem is with space. The room I have to work in is a spare bedroom with a day bed on one wall, desk on one wall, guitar equipment on another wall. The two train board options I'm toying with is a cabinet on the wall that will fold down over the day bed, and the other option is one that slides under the day bed. Either board will most likely be a door, 36" wide X 80" long, for N gage layout. My question concerns the under the bed idea. I would want the board mounted on some sort of "arms" that when the board is pulled out, it will easily raise to about table height. Does anyone have any knowledge of where I might find the "arms" that would be suitable? Thanks, I appreciate your help.

If you could find an old Ambulance "stretcher" someplace that would have the whole assy. to raise the table up to heighth.

To Arms!

Welcome back to the Hobby!

Check out Rockler http://www.rockler.com for a simply amazing selection of hinges, slides, brackets, you name it. Some of their offerings you can find at Home Depot or Lowes, but for the real oddball stuff, Rocklers is my choice.
