Nice, though you have more track than I do...lol I have a Proto 2000 MP SW9/1200 with no track to run it on. Due to life getting in the way I am having to push back planning and building my layout

I had to tear down my first layout when She directed me to finish the basement. I refused. When I regained consciousness (sorry, Dave B.), I tore it down, but not before I took a sizeable chunk of plywood and set it up on a spare bed in a bedroom. I laid some track, hooked up power, and was playing with a new locomotive in jig time.

Very nice Pacific you have there.

Build a layout on the back of a door. Take it off and set it on a table or bed when you want to use it. If you ever have to move or sell, replace the door with one from Home Depot for under $50.00.

Cheers

Thanks and good on you setting something up to run your new loco.

I've always wanted a Pacific and never wanted the one made by VH. I missed out on this Pacific from DP when they were taking orders, but got lucky and found this one on the net.

Cheers

That's a beautiful model! If you want to give it a good run feel free to send it my way.....

Thanks. It runs as well as it looks too. And like most brass locos I have, one side always looks better than the other side.

It only has a few minor imperfections on it, but I can live with it though I'm picky when it to comes to putting out money for brass. They don't make CNR locos often and when they do, they don't make many.

Now I have to wait for someone someday to make a prototypical CNR heavyweight or combine for it to pull. For now it will pull a baggage car, reefer, and a stand in passenger car if I can find one.

Love to bring it your way for a run, but have no idea where you are.

Here are a few closer shots I took.

Cheers

Very nice Z!
I remember when I first got into HO... I had a loco and caboose, a piece of flex on the mantle with a nine volt battery and a toggle switch. LOL

Thanks Rico. Can't wait to find a layout to run it on.

I'm trying to visualize that battery and toggle switch. LOL.

I like HO, but if I was rich and had a lot of time, I would go with O scale. I still haven't seen a O scale brass loco run in person. Maybe I can find one running on Youtube.

Cheers
