Hi, My name is Chris and I'm a recovering Model RailRoader........I left Model Railroading 4 years ago to explore RC Trucks. I met my goals now I'm returning to tend to my first hobby! I'm a N scaler, and before I left the hobby I started this late 1920's early 30' n scale layout along with a couple box cabs I kit bashed. I'll post more pic's as I slowly ($$$ wise) return to Model Railroading! Here's some teezer pic's to show I'm not a noob, just lost focus
Welcome back! That's really nice looking, but that photo of the truck is SCARY!! I mean, the truck's really cool, but the scale is kind of like Godzilla, by golly. I think you'll find the people on this forum to be a really great, friendly bunch of guys. I know that I have! I've gotten a lot of help, information and just plain old-fashioned COURTESY around here. I know that you will, too.
Thank's Everyone!
It's good to be back, I got good friday off and plan to clean up the train/hobby room. Get all the stuff piled up on the railroad off and start to figure out where I left off! As for the scary 1/10 scale Chevy ( http://www.ultimaterc.com/gallery/thumbnails.php?album=203&page=3 ) that is a very special rig. I built the chassis out of Lexan after everyone told me it was impossibel to build a lite, stiff lexan chassis .....I proved them wrong It even made it in to readers rides in the Radio Controled Action.
During my RC exposure, I learned/Figured out how to carefully cut and form lexan and acrylic plastics......I can see a cool clear control panel! ooooooooooooooooooh! I'm sure some of you may want info down the road.....just ask. along with other little goodies As soon as I finish my reef aquarium get's finished and fall returnes I will resume working on the railroad. My Railroad is yet to get a name. But I decided on a late 20's early 30's railroad and a city scape kinda like FSM RR. Hope It come out right, I would hate to have to build another layout next to this one
That's more or less an access hole to aid in cleaning soon to be hidden track also possible expansion! that hole in the back drop will be hidden by a huge factory...........I get some more clean pic's of it tomarrow when I clean up the hobby room! Then you will get an Idea of my layout. My aquariums stand and hood gave me a Idea for my RR! I haven't finished the legs yet. The RR looks more like a piece of furniture than a model railroad! The wood work is all done in Dark Cherry, Photos don't do it justice! Next Fall I will start up with it again, I can't wait! Tomarrow more Pic's! Let me know what you want to see closer and I'll try to get those shots for ya!
