Well I already messed this up by asking questions in the N Scale Forum, oh well.
I'm Glenn, I am back to railroading after about 30 years. I built a little loop and spur industry layout on a sheet of plywood as a kid, enjoyed it, but moved on to other things and the trains sat in my parent's basement until recently. Now I am working on a little 2x4 layout with Unitrack and learning DCC. Happy to take it slow, as I have other time sinks I mean hobbies, plus dad to a couple teenagers, and oh yeah work...
But glad to be back.
The current plan is to come up with my own (well the kids are helping) railroad based on the Skunk Train and the White Pass & Yukon, but set nominally in the Oregon Coast with equipment I like versus what those lines actually had/have. I've been painting wargaming models for about 25 years now so the way I see it, a few locomotives are just some boxy shaped turretless tanks...right?
Anyhoo hello!
