YIEKS! Know what you mean! I generally use an exacto knife to pick them up and place them, or a pair of tweezers (just don't squeeze too much!.
 
I assembled mine with tweezers...it was touchy, but I got 'em in and slammed on the lid!

Then I took a tip from an online video and center-punched the mounting holes, which held the assembly together. :)
