I would like to know how to wire up, a yard routing system for our club layout useing relays, It needs to change points and track power between 4 controlers, 3 main lines and the yard (See photo) also dcc is not a option as only one member has it.
I was going to use a diode matrix to change the points but the then i still have the problem with the track power.
Ah! my friend, to do what you want to do will require more than that photo. For routing and setting the turnouts will require a track plan and a description of what you want to do in the yard. For selection of each of the yard track blocks to each of the four throttles I'd suggest rotary switches as being the simplest means.
Routing and switching will require a diode matrix and possibly capacitive discharge power supplies to power the switch motors if they are twin coil. If they are the stall type then that's a different kettle of fish.
