ModelRailroadForums.com is a free Model Railroad Discussion Forum and photo gallery. We cover all scales and sizes of model railroads. Online since 2002, it's one of the oldest and largest model railroad forums on the web. Whether you're a master model railroader or just getting started, you'll find something of interest here.
I'd walk a double track mainline of the Milwaukee Road as a child, and and there were always lots of loose bits to be found. I carried home a 1 foot long chuck of ~136 pound rail once. It nearly killed me. I still have it. It makes for a outstanding anvil.
Some how I missed this earlier. I love seeing industrial trackage. For some reason most of us don't model the maintenance deferred trackage all around us. I have some crazy looking trackage on my layout and I run a slow speed train over it the same way.
It's hard to get a model to run on rough track, especially the smaller scales. I really like the look of them wobbling down the track, though. Let's see a video of yours, RBMN.
