N Scale - Kato GP50 Questions

This may apply to all KATO's but I am wanting to remove the handrails on my Kato GP50 so I can do some weathering to her. Anyone happen to know how they are attatched, are they just pressed in or something different. I tried to pull on them lightly but they don't seem to be giving at all.

I recall a while back of a site that discussed these units but can't find it.

Thanks

David,

The handrails on the GP50 are part of the walkway casting. The loco body is
one piece that connects to the walkway by tabs in the middle of each end.
Disconnect the handrails from the cab and pry up the ends of the body with a narrow Xacto knife. The battery box/steps will probably fall off the front end so be careful.

Thanks Larry, I started to attack the geep and noticed they are one piece. (Grumbles) So thinking of how I want to attack it now. I had it apart, and thought I had what I wanted weathered, but no, I see more to do, so apart she comes again ;)
