hi, i want to know if there are some good quality cars in n scale without the hefty price. i like mini metals, but boy! are they expensive. anyone know of any good quality cars, but easy on the wallet? thanks! :D

This is one of the downsides of N scale. There's no real equivalent of something like Fresh Cherries like Walmat sells for a buck a piece. Minimetals really isn't a bad deal since most of their vehicles come in 2 packs and average $6-$7 each. Occasionally you get a good price on Busch vehicles on sale but it's a matter of cruising the web sites and looking for sale items. Atlas is the one that amazes me. $15 for some really crappy looking cars.

There's several dealers from Hong Kong that are selling cars for really low prices on ebay. They are surprisingly good quality for the cost. I think they are actually the same cars Kato sells under their own name. As Kato, they are actually 1:150 vs 1:160 for US n scale, but you don't really notice the difference. I bought 60 of them for less than $10 and my only complaint is there were only 6 or 7 styles so you end up with a lot of duplicates. I think there were about 6 colors also.
