So I have moved on to another location of the layout. This is the end-of-line location of my upper level “shelf”. This location was originally the coal mine, now relocated. This is where I decided to plop the Walthers paper mill. I bought this when it first came out. Back then, in my 20’s i did not paint or weather buildings. Just slap them together and get them on the layout.( And it shows). Lots of broken pieces to try to repair!
So the other night I figured it was time to start here and make it look like something.
Got the roadways and parking lot done. Going to let it dry for a couple of days before I paint.
Made a lot of progress the last few nights. Got the trees and grass planted, painted the holding tanks and added some piping to the chemical unloading area. Now I’m not an expert by any means. I have no idea if paper plants get tank cars in or not. But mine does. I’ve had this Walthers refinery kit for many, many years. I wanted to use it so this is where I chose. Enjoy!
