By the way, here is the basic track plan. It's a very simple layout, the scenery will be mostly desert (like where I live).

Just a little more progress ... I've had to slow down as I'm making preparations for my trip to MacWorld next week.

A little more progress

I got some track layed down and I just couldn't help myself so I wired it up to the DCC system and ran a train back and forth ... sometimes a guy's just gotta play with toys
