Ok ... thanks to those who provided opinions in my other post. I appreciate it.

I dropped by a train store in Houston yesterday on my way back home to Austin and bought the 8-way strobe lights.

I also had 4 or 5 of the Area 51 police cars from a previous HO setup.

* This is my 1st attempt of anything like this
* I destroyed 3 cars trying to get one good one
* I used the wrong drill bit on my Dremel
* Light bars don't like drills
* One of the alternating headlights broke (need to fix that)

Lots of lessons learned

At least one came out good. :) I've found the Miniatronics lights hard to use. I have a link in another thread for sub miniature LED modules from www.policecarmodels.com. They are much smaller, half the price, and will fit in the Busch type lightbars without removing anywhere near the amount of material that you need for the Miniatronics lights. You can also get police cars from e-bay with the strobes already installed for less than what the Miniatronics lights cost.
