I echo Carey's comments, I think you're well on the way to a great-looking layout.
Might I suggest: In your 'town' scene, where you have a grade crossing on the track right against the edge - bolt on another 2-3 inches for the street on the "other side" of the tracks, and install a pair of flashing
NJ International crossbucks (I'm using the #1095's on my own layout). Those things add tremendous visual interest to a scene, kids especially love to watch them!
