If I were you, I'd keep it. Plus any other train item she got you this year. This was/is the FIRST Christmas present you got from your NEW wife! There will never be another first! Keep it, no matter what she says.

My wife got me a Bowser K-4 kit as my first present. Does it fit with the theme of my RR. NO! Do you think I'm gonna risk her ire if I get rid of it? Not NO but H*** no! I want to live!!!

Wow, I'd be hanging onto a Steam engine like that! This is the 2nd year she's bought me anything, though the first since we've been married, so that is a good point.

Last year she got me an OLD stainless steel baggage car kit (I still have it in the box...)

I have to agree with Carey, I've been married for 33 1/2 years and still have the Nuts & Bolts cologne& aftershave my wife bought me our first Christmas .I used it once but it still is in my closet because it was the first thing she bought me.Know what I mean ?
