My attempt at a bridge

Nice work! Love the rustic look/color of the wood. I saw MinWax makes colored stain. I just picked up blue and plan on going back to get the charcoal color. It looks just like aged wood. Would look great on an ol barn. Lowes makes a semi-transparent color and all you have to do is ask the guy for the color you want from a chart and they mix color into the clear making it the shade you want.

Well, it looks like a bridge!

If you wanted to add detail you could use cardstock or plastic to make plates and the heads from track nails as rivets (you can snip the nail shorter and push it into the wood like a pushpin).

Thanks. For paint I went to Walmart and got the acrylic paints in the craft section. Used brown and black to get the color I wanted, then thinned it to use as a wash.
 
Was this made with aged wood or did you stain it? Oh ok, you just answered my question while I was typing..LOL Thanks
