I bought a MTH California Zephyr set off Ebay without realizing the observation was not icluded. The set is mint but I wanted a complete set. I am new here and may be in the wrong forum. If anyone has any information how I can get one of these that would be great.
What scale? O I'm assuming, as the only CZ cars I've seen in HO are BLI and old Athearn...
Yes it is O scale. That seems to the problem. MTH must of had a very limited run on these sets.
I think you may be stuck watching eBay...I don't know if there are O Scale yahoo groups where you can post a WTB, but if there are that would be another avenue for you.
Thanks I appreciate the advice. I may have to settle on a Lionel Observation car also.
Thanks but they have no stock.

There is a new run due out around Sept 2012, so keep an eye out.
The BLI CZ cars are out now. I've just ordered two D&RGW cars I need to complete my Rio Grande Zephyr fleet, the Silver Colt Dome-coach and Silver Pine 48 seat flat top coach.
HObbyline California Zephyr observation car. In 1955 HObbyline released it California Zephyr. It was powered by the companies Alco FA-1 locomotives. The Loco road-name was Western Pacific. The observation car name was "Silver Planet".

Wow! I love the picture. The change of the technology and modeler's expectations from then to now is amazing.
