OK i took my big boy up to gulf coast hobbies , & they took the pilot off & it turns out its brass so the owner straightened it out & the other owner took it put it on their store layout & ran it to make sure everything
was ok
it ran great the only thing is the pilot led light is not working but other then that its flawless, a the kicker is they did it all for no charge!!
i know it wasnt much but it still was appreciated since i couldnt do it myself with no workbench here.
THATS THE WAY TO SHOW GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE !!!
I WILL ALWAYS GO TO THEM AS LONG AS IM HERE

I gotta say I wish I didn't sell her. Open house is coming up and everyone is asking if I'm gonna operate the roundhouse and run my MTH big boy double headed with my PCM. I might end up buying one on evilbay. Price has gone way up on those. Anyone hear when MTH is going to get more in?
yea i agree the economy aint looking good, sounds like you see its gonna get worse , sorry dont want to turn it political but , come on nov 2nd anyways
hope your job is stable , before i left NH my company tanked
I work at a hospital doing HVAC/R but you never know. I wish everyone who is struggling and TRYING to do well for themselves and their families the best of luck. I realize I am VERY fortunate to be talking about $600+ toy.
It is mainly metal. Heavy Metal! lol It actually had a lot of problems which it had to be returned to MTH because the board totally fried. Then my store here had to replace the PLASTIC drive shafts with metal ones. It runs okay now but we will have to see, seeing that I don't have a full circle yet. I'm sorry it is not for sale because my dad and I went in on it together. Thank you for your comment as always and keep watching.
i figued you would find the comment above familar lol

Thanks, now I REALLY wish I had mine back. BTW, The headlight does flash when in dim mode. I just happens so fast your eyes perceive it as dim. Ask my how I know. Another WTF moment when fixing it. But with all the bad I went through I do miss it. I just fried my pcm big boy w/tsunami Sunday . A wire broke on the front driver pickup. Since the gears boxes are a split design when it shorted to the other side it toasted the decoder and the board in the loco.
yeah Im all over it. I am gonna wait until the end to up my highest offer. that way it doesnt jack the price waaaayy up. Thanks for the heads up though. It's always nice to have more than 1 set of eyes. I just picked up a MTH U.P. Mikado.
