OK, this one's kinda funny. Unbeknownst to me as I was recording, the lead locomotive and tender got separated. But because two locos were in pretty good sync, the lead tender and loco never drifted more than about 1/2" apart. Eventually they do hook up again, but I was oblivious to the whole thing until I watched the video a couple times.
Yes, they do smoke. I turned on the smoke near the end of the video as they are pulling into the yard (around 13:35 into the video). They aren't smoking a whole lot (they need a refill of smoke oil). Normally the stuff is billowing out. I don't run the smoke too much on my trains due to the potential for contaminating the layout with residue, but I'll put it on every now and then for the camera or during an open house.
