Ms. Doc Scores Big!

Doc Holliday

Gentleman Gambler
Came home last night to find a present from Ms. Doc. Seems she went by a local thrift store looking for toys for our lab pups and came home with the following, all new in original boxes:

American Model Builders Farmers Grain Elevator Laser Cut Kit
American Model Builders Cumbres Depot Laser Cut Kit
Con-Cor Redi-Mix Cement Truck
Con-Cor Logging Transport Truck

Total price for all, $7.00:D

The depot prototype was built in 1880, perfect for the BAD Western. I'll probably bash the grain elevator into a mining structure. Since the diesel truck are a little out of my era, I'll probably put them on Ebay.

now the trick will be convincing her that the labs don't need these.....

Man, I never see anything but Thomas stuff in thrift stores here. Hard to imagine such nice kits ending up in a thrift store but your wife has a good eye for what to buy.

My wife is great that way too. She came home once from a garage sale trip with an unbuilt 1/24 model of my first car (1977 Mustang II :) ) that she paid a buck for. Turns out the kit is fairly rare and actually worth something.

Back then I wasn't focused on trains though, I'm sure she'd passed up some good 'uns. Gonna have to give her a new target to look for. :)
