My order for N Scale trains and track was recently placed, so I'm a complete newB with N Scale. Included in my initial order was a Unitrack M1 set that includes the Kato power controller.

I also have some LGB trains that I use a MRC Power G controller. This MRC power controller for the G scale trains is massive and powerful so I was wondering if this controller could or should be used and what advantages would there be if the MRC Power were used with N scale trains and would it do any harm?

Specs of the MRC power G are:
output
#1 0-22VDC variable
#2 22VDC fixed
Total max 10 amps.

Thanks in advance

Try an MRC Tech 4 Pwr Pack. It's built for N, HO, and Z 12v rating. That's what I use and it does excellant.

Yep , do not use the G Pack. You may want to look at the Kato pack for the Kato track .
Thanks , Mike
