I'm not sure if this is the best forum to post this in, but I don't see a software forum. I've been working on a model train simulation app, and I'd like to get some feedback from people that know model trains. I've opened the beta test to the public. If you have a device that runs iPadOS, iOS, or macOS (or visionOS), and you'd like to take look at my app, here is the link:

Here's the app description:

TrainSet 3D Pro is a complete and realistic model train simulation. Design your layout, build it, and run your train in it. A large library of pieces is available to fill your scene. Choose from 25 different track and road pieces, and hundreds of different scenery pieces; sets include rural, urban, suburban, old west, trees/hedges/shrubberies, and trailer park. Also included are four complete trains, with over 30 different cars that you can mix and match in any combination.

Here are some screenshots:

I look forward to your feedback. Thanks in advance.

Hello john.
This looks cool! The fact that your making a gam like this shows great effort. I like the fact that you have real life locomotives. That's a big one for a lot of us (needs to be prototypical).
I can not actually give you a review, as I don't have a i Phone. But keep up the good work. 👍

Regards, X Model Railroader.

Thanks. Actually, many of the cars are based on the Lionel model train set I inherited from my father MANY years ago. I have LOTS of cars dating back to the 50s and 60s. We had a layout set up in the basement, and every Xmas, my father would set up a small track running around the base of the tree.

I'm still thinking of adding the 2-car pair - one floated a balloon above it, and the other had a missile that could be shot at the balloon. Pretty cool when I was a kid, maybe not so much now.

If you don't have an iPhone or iPad, perhaps a young(er) person you know does. They make the best app testers. ;)

Your other ideas sound great. 👍

I'm in the category of "the damn screen's too small" person, so I need any software to work on my desktop with 19" screen.
Me too. Small screens suck! That's why I designed this app for the iPad, which has a screen big enough to get the best experience. Also runs on Mac.

Wake the kids and phone the neighbors, Trainset 3D Pro is now available for sale in the App Store. If you buy it, please leave a review. Thanks!
