Early this week in the Cleveland, Ohio area, east or west bound, I saw a complete train hauling military equipmet on flats. It was so fast I don't even remember the details other than it was all kinds of equipment from ambulances to trucks. Funny that in my lifetime I don't ever remember seeing a totally military train. Anyone else see it.

Every now and then I will see a few flat cars with Jeeps or small equipment without fire arms. I remember back in 2001 that alot of civilian semi trucks were hauling tanks in covoys of 5 or more. besides WW2 pictures I dont think I have ever seen a tank or large gun hauled on a flat car?
Thanks for the pics. I was so taken aback and as usual I was going one way and it was going the other not to mention I was going over a bridge. I just felt it was unusual for this part of the country.
Thanks

Although it's not common to see a solid military train, they do pop up now and again when a mechanized unit is being moved overseas or returning from deployment. I saw one recently here carrying Bradleys, Humvees, and trucks from an Alabama National Guard unit returning from Iraq. They were all being carried on TTX flats rather than DOD flats, which is a little unusual.
Back in March I saw a LONG military train turning on a wye in Columbus, GA. Blocked traffic downtown for quite some time, but quite a sight to see! They were mostly tanks on DoD flat cars bound for Fort Benning.
I see them go through here sometimes. Enid OK that is.
Usually a lot of humvees and going fast. Never seen one stop.
