Has anyone had experience with the old line of Micro-Engineering switches? I bought some of the non-DCC friendly ones a while back, but don't know if I should install them since I don't know if they will be work with DCC.

What I'd like to know for those who have used them with DCC, is if there are any shorts or any weird behavior from them. I really don't want to bust out the dremel and ruin them...

Well, I'm not sure on the DCC freindlyness, but you can carefully modify them to match the DCC freindly ones, by trimming around the frog, making gaps in the rals so they don't touch the frog, and you should be good. Thats how my new ME one is.
