I found this Mantua 2-6-6-2T at Timonium on Saturday. It's been redone previously- all-metal body, windows, and a nice, newer motor. It has Made In USA stamped all over it. The paint had been redone. The paint job isn't the greatest, but better than I'd do.
By the end of Sunday, I had converted it to DCC with a working headlight! It runs pretty nice. Eventually, I'd like to do some paint work to it, but I'm pretty happy with what I've been able to accomplish with it.

Looks like the drivers may have been changed as the flanges are shallow. Old 50's Mantua had overly deep flanges. It certainly doesn't need the code 100 it's sitting on..which was made for the old deep flange era...I'll assume the pilot and pony truck wheels are shallow too..
With all that metal weight it must be a real puller !
