Mag-lev prototype

ModelRailroadForums.com is a free Model Railroad Discussion Forum and photo gallery. We cover all scales and sizes of model railroads. Whether you're a master model railroader or just getting started, you'll find something of interest here.

This past Friday, I had the privilege of being invited to go on a special tour of a facility that has built and is building and testing a new type of mag-lev train. It was all very interesting. We where allowed to take pics and this is the batch that I have sorted thru and thought that I would post for all you all to see. This facility is located in Austell, GA.
I hope that you all enjoy the pics. As for answering any questions that will be tuff for me to do as there was so much info put out in a 2 hour presentation. I can say that if the car was outfitted with first class style seating it wold hold aprox. 150 people. Regular seats, it would hold aprox. 250 passengers. The pictures are with out the skirts on the vehicle as well. They have not been installed as the unit is still being tested and it is easier to access the components with out the skirts on. I hope that you enjoy the pictures as I did enjoy my time that I spent at the facility.
