I was wondering if there are any motors that will fit a Lionel 1060 engine.yThe plastic one in it is totally broken. Cracked the case and shattered part of it.Do any other of Lione's engines fit it? Ihave researched but can't find an answer?

Based on a little of my own research, it looks like a 1050, 1061, and 1062 motor should easily fit your loco shell. And very quite possibly the 1100 series of 0-4-0/2-4-2 Columbia series, and a fair chance even the Scout 200 series of 2-4-2 Columbia series.

Some of these other motors have a reversing lever on top of the motor, whereas your 1060 should have none. You would have to either cut a slot in your shell, or else remove the reversing lever in order to fit.

Some of these other units also have a smoke unit, which simply could be unplugged from the headlight socket and replaced with a bulb.

Here's a good site for information on postwar locos.............................. http://www.tandem-associates.com/lionel/lionelident.htm
Hope this helps.
