Liftout On Drawer Slides

Here are some pictures of a liftout on drawer slides I've been working on for a friends layout. The liftout section is counter-weighted with a pvc pipe full of lead weights. Today we installed the latching mechanism I fabricated, all you need to do to open it is push the latch arm to the right and you can lift it with one finger. When it's down and latched it's very stable.

Do you have switches tied to the lift out so the power is dropped to the tracks leading into the bridge? Hate to see a train do a Toy Story 3 fall over the edge. Looks great. I would like to see some close-up shots of the edges and joints. Thanks for sharing.
 
There will be micro switches that shut the tracks on each end down when the liftout is unlatched.
