Let's see your 50's era roads

I'm being era-specific because of the great differences in both road striping and road width some 50+ years ago. So if you model the late 40s to late 50s, I'd like to see what you have, paved and unpaved.

Here is an unpaved road I did for my early '60's era layout.

Still lacking a centerline this road is hardshell over blue foam we used a mix of acrylic crafts paint for the dull blacktop look.

Nice. Off topic, is the bridge scratchbuilt? It looks like the bridge which spans the Monongahela River at Belle Vernon, PA just off I-70.

Not much to it really. I build up the road with plaster and paint it with a flat gray house paint. While the paint is still wet I spread on some light gray non sanded tile grout and some N scale blast along the edges and let the paint dry. Then I drag my fingers across the road in the direction that traffic would travel to smooth it out. Then wet it down with 70% rubbing alcohol and then wet it with Woodland Scenics cement. Then I’ll go back and lightly dust with some black from an airbrush If I want to make it darker.
