Fellow Model Railroaders-
The NMRA’s 2008 Convention is coming to Anaheim, California. This will take place July 13-19, 2008. I am the Layout Tour Chairman for this Convention.
While 2008 may seem quite a ways off, the planning for such an event takes years. Such is the case with the layout and facility tours.
At this time we are seeking home layouts in all scales for the tour program. Specifically, we need layouts that will be at least 50% completed by July 2008.
I’m writing to you to ask your help in recommending home layouts throughout Southern California for the layout tour program, whether the layout is yours or a friend’s. We’re not asking anyone to commit to showing their layout just now, however, we would like to begin discussing the layout tour with interested layout owners as soon as possible.
We hope you or a friend will be pleased to share a layout several times during Convention week with some of the 2,000 or so model railroaders from all over the world expected to attend this most popular model railroad convention.
