Hello everyone,

I am a beginner at this hobby. And one of my many questions is this:
When laying down N scale track on the foam or cork track bed, what do you use to secure the track? Glue, nails etc.. And what works best?
Thanks:D

Cheap acrylic latex caulking will do an excellent job. However, you may wish to use a few nails to situate the track here and there until the caulking cures, particularly on reluctant curves.

With caulking, a little goes a loooong way. Don't goop it on, unless it is to spread it well down the roadbed first with a metal or plastic spatula. You want it less than butter thin so that it doesn't well up between the ties. It aids, later, in taking up "oopses" as well, or in simply recovering as much of the track to use on another layout if the ballast will come with it. Often the ballast will break up, though, and not look good.
