I may have a free (i.e. old) laptop coming.
I already have the NCE USB interface hooked up.
My question is what requirements are needed for the laptop?
Any flavor of Win XP or higher?

To be honest, my buddy's machine (if he has one to give me) may even be a Mac of some sort. I really don't care. 30+ years as a software engineer on stuff from super-computers to embedded systems I would think I can handle about anything one could throw at me - except phones. I haven't had a cell phone in about 8 years or so. I simply don't need one.

Thanks for any tips.
E.

Yes it should run just fine on an old laptop. But depending on how old, it will probably run slow.

It will run on both WinXp and Mac OS1o.

Careful, when I downloaded Java to be able to run JMRI it crashed my computer! Had to do a restore.
