On Oct. 14, last year, my brother-in-law died. Before he died, he started collecting N scale trains. His plan was to make a layout of his favourite railfan location, the Thompson River Canyon in B.C. Since he died before he could make it, I decided to make a small portable layout of that location in his memory. I unveiled it to the public last weekend at our annual train show. (Which the two of us ran together for about 15 years; last year's show was also his last public outing before he died.)
