The interurban was very prominent in my old home area. I'd like to integrate a line or two into my layout. Does anyone know of any manufacturer that produced these?

Need a little more info Bob. What kind of cars were used, Niles, PCC, Two truck Brills? When are you talking, and where?
Right now the only manufacturer that I can remember is Bowser. They have several styles of interurbans. In the past, Suydam imported a lot of cars for specific lines. These are still seen on E-bay quite a bit.
There used to be a company called Q-Car, that made interurban kits and details, but they only made O Scale IIRC. Also check the resin kit makers, I believe that I've seen one or two interurbans, by a few of those manufacturers.
I remember an interurban car at a show some years back. Should have bought it then. No box, so I don't know the manufacturer. Hind sight is always 20/20 and I wasn't considering modeling it into my layout then.
I also remember a brass model. But. I'm old and could have imagined it.
There were many brass models of interurbans, particularly the large lines like the Pacific Electric and the South Shore. Many of these were imported by Suydam. A current producer of interurbans and modern light rail cars is MTS at http://www.mtsimports.com/trolley.htm.
