The coordinates would put this site just north of downtown Portland on the south bank of the Willamette River.

Is that the Gunderson (or whatever they're called these days) railcar plant? Not sure what the cars are doing on the dock though, maybe just a convenient place to put them out of the way.

The curves going onto that pier look sharp enough to be modeled in 1:87 without "compression"

WOW! Did you see the huge train station north of that location on the river, between Broadway Bridge and Steel Bridge Rds.? It has the large red roof. Now that would make a nice model.
