I've tried to understand indexed cvs as well as function mapping before but this vid tied it all together for me (I think, haven't tried it yet) 😕

Function 7 dims the headlight and simultaneously initiates cab chatter on my Tsunami2 decoders. I would prefer to use both effects independently (Happy 4th 😀) but have settled for muting cab chatter and using function 7 to dim the headlight. I'll have time tomorrow to try to map cab chatter to some other function...I'll let you know how it goes 😅

Plans changed so I had time to try it now...I can't believe how easy that was!

Now I can dim my light in the yard and still listen to cab chatter but only when I want to regardless of how bright the headlight is....more realistic 😀

Ah! you've started down that rabbit hole, so there's no hope for you now. 🤣 🤣🤣
