How to hide or landscape turntable?

Sorry no pics here but i am struggling on ideas for my atlas turntable. Obviously the turntable it self remains reveled but what about all of those unused slots and the outer perimeter itself? cover with ballast? vegetetaion? am open to pics and ideas please?

I would cut some sandpaper/gravelpaper to to the shape of the unused slots. Spot glue in place ( so can be removed if more track is to be laid later.) Ensure turntable still revolves freely.
You can the scenic the actual layout board up to the sandpaper.

Just my 2 centsworth.

How about a short storage and "interchange track." The round house needs to be provisioned by highway traffic.
A gantry crane can transfer between highway and rail. Store some little used MOW equipment.

This is what I did: Different style of turntable, but the 'naturalizing' of the surroundings and of the structure would be much the same.
