i was surfing and i found this on the forums website and i just cant figure out how this guy gets his turnouts so close together its like they are hand laid. also that yard is insane over kill i want a yard that big http://www.modelrailroadphotos.com/photos/showphoto.php?photo=1765&limit=views sorry i forgot it lol
Not that tight. My main yard is 12 ladders, my two secondary yards are 8 and 9 "legs" respectively. I had to trip the turnouts down but, that was not a big deal.
that is pretty cool. larger than most and I want to know how you reach all those tracks LOL... It looks as if it has 2 mainlines and 2 sidings for passenger trains? says its a copy of a yard from 1970. Down at the club we have a long yard but its only about 7 tracks deep. and the forst 1/4 of the yard has 5 inbound tracks to hold members trains when they are not running.
HE who dies with the most trains winss i agree. i am working on it i curently have 30 desiel locos and two or three steamers and about 100-150 frieght cars and about 15 passenger cars. and probably about 400 foot of track
