Holy Smokes or All Smoked Up

I have a Rivarossi Heavy Pacific 4-6-2 Engine - HO scale and i am making an effort to model the Southern Crescent Limited - late 1920's

Here is my question - *note* i am a novice - you could use other words but for the moment just leave it a novice - is there a practical and workable way to add smoke to this engine

WHY ? you ask - Answer - I love to watch the Lionel O scale with smoke on YouTube

Thanks - rdeal

If you like smoke, rather than trying to add it yourself, you'd probably be better off getting a smoke-equipped unit from MTH [if you can handle their high prices!]. Most HO locos are too small to accommodate smoke-generating units.

The plastic boilers of Rivarossi steam engines do not play well with the heat generated by smoke units.
