heres a shot of an athearn s.p. style trainmaster i painted as a kid, i always loved the lionel one but could never afford it, i think atlas is making trainmasters in the bluebird scheme now... thanks for looking

Nice paint job for a kid, Jesse. Atlas is indeed making Trainmasters in the Bluebird scheme if you're looking for one. I've always loved Train masters. They were the standard SP commute train power on the San Francisco peninsula line for many years and it was really something seeing 9 or 10 going and coming at the same time.

its actually a power unit and dummy set i did but just the power unit is pictured i'm very happy with it and recently painted an a-b-a set of hobbytown e-7's in union pacific, and in my opinion did not come out as good as these bluebirds! i'm about to start a set of athearn sd40-2's all powered they will be painted in rio grande... even though rio grande never had sd40-2's to my knowledge...

My first train ever was a 1958 Lionel Wabash GP-7 in that paint scheme. Got the set for Christmas. (No I don't have it anymore.) I loved that engine. That is a great look, you did good.

Nice job. That is a tuff paint job to do. Years ago I did a F7s in that scheme. Thankfully they are available factory painted now.
