HO Sheepscot 28yrd. 27’ 1950s Fruehauf Dump Trailer

This is a old Plaster Sheepscot Scale Product of a late 1950s Fruehauf Dump trailer. I’ll be using different parts from other trailers as well as styrene strips and some Custom building. I’m going to try to get as much details as I can on this one so it will look nice on my layout at the Coal Yard. Then on to a Sheepscot Autocar DCU75 Truck that will be pulling it.

I used the suspension from the Walthers Flexi-Van trailer and made the frame rails and crossmembers from styrene.

Going by the “jag” of that load, don’t go near any scales!

Thanks for the complement Rico. I’m using Gorilla Super glue. I’m not worried about the scales it’s a load of Coal. lol

More updates. I sanded the old Tailgate off and add a new made out of styrene. Then I added the Dolly Legs from a Classic Metal Works Trailer. That’s it for now.

Painted the body and Hand painted the wheels. Next up is the Mudflaps, Decals, and paint the taillights then I’m calling it done
