I found an HO scale penninsula layout that I really like, but it's too big for my space. My train room is a one-car garage that measures 12x19, but the useable space is 14x9. Any ideas on resizing and still keeping the 22" & 24"radius curves?
Here's what I have currently. It's two 4x8 tables with a 2x5 bridge between. I plan on tearing it all out and doing the plan above if I can make it fit.
That's a really compact layout to begin with. You'd be better off removing the peninsula. I would recommend making your staging area under the rest of the layout to save space, and add the ability to create more scenery. A 2% grade can get you pretty far on a 24" curve.
Post a drawing of your garage dimensions and maybe we can help you more.
