Hi All,
Last Christmas, as a present to myself, I attempted to re-create a Lionel 027 set that I got as a kid in 1962. I bought some used track from someone on Ebay. They said it was Lionel track. When I got it I found that it was different than what I had seen. The curves were banked and the locking pins were arranged with two pins on one end and one pin on the opposited end. I want to add six more straight sections now. I have looked on the web and cannot ID what brand it is or even locate anymore like it. Therefore I may have to replace all of it or change out the pins. The pins however are crimped in place at the factory and don't appear that they can be or are supposed to be removed. I think this is .027 because it makes a circle of 27 inches inside and 31 inches outside diameter. I bought used but serviceable track to match the vintage of the set. I may have questions about the set I was able to re-create but I'll put that in a seperate post later. If anyone can help me identify this strange track and find some more please let me know.
