Hi, does anyone know what kind of minimum radius a PRR S-2 made by GEM needs for HO scale curves? It has a 6-8-6 arrangement. I have 28" curves and do not want to invest in a loco that cant run them.

I am in the process of selling a couple of brass locomotives because they won't operate on 30" minimum. From the NMRA RP11 it states steam locos with a rigid wheelbase up to 20 feet need a minimum of 26 1/2" radius. For steam locos with a rigid wheelbase up to 24 feet need a minimum of 32" radius. For steam locos with a rigid wheelbase up to 28 feet need a minimum of 40" radius. I would suggest you message the rigid wheelbase of the loco.
