UP and BNSF freelancer
As stated, I'm looking for one (or two depending on price) of these for my N scale setup. This loco has always fascinated me due to its sheer size. That and UP's testing of turbine powered locos.

Bachmann is the only plastic DD-40 I know of in N scale. They do show up on e-bay from time to time. They are fairly old models but run well from all reports as longs as you've got big enough curves. I know at least one brass locomotive was produced in N scale, I think by Overland, but it will be expensive and hard to find.
 
thanks for the link Ryan. Might have to wait that one out if the price gets too high, as I'm trying to fund a digitrax zephyr right now as the next big expense (prior to all the track I'm going to have to buy)
