Hello everyone. My name is Charles and I live in San Bernardino, CA. I've been interested in model railroading for a long time and was active up until about 2000 or so. Life got in the way, times got tough and was forced to sell everything I had. But now I want to get back into the hobby and hope to get ideas from everyone. Talk to you all soon.

I had actually started a fictitious railroad named the Potomac & Western which interchanged with the Richmond Fredericksburg (CSX) & Potomac and the Southern Railway (NS). It was mainly a industrial railroad, but tansfered freight between the two railroads. Time was set to current time with a mix of power from GP40-2 to Dash 8's and a couple of SW1500's for yard work and locals.
Keep in mind I lived in Virginia when I last did any model railroading and now I want to bring the P&W back to life, starting small, then as room and time and money allows, expand.

Welcome neighbor, I'm in Rialto, looking forward to seeing, and hearing of your progress. What scale are you going to model in?

Hello guys. Hope to talk to ya down the road and possibly out watching the real things...lol. Oplholik, I'm going to be going back into HO scale. Nothing fancy right off, but a simple shelf style to do a little switching.

So far I'm doing some sketches of track work and framework. I got a new name for the road. Aspen Timber & Western Railroad. Its set back in the late 50's to early 70's so I can model a broad range of power and rolling stock. But if I was to set a era it'd be from 67-73.
