Getting into N scale, wanting to model railroads local to West Central Indiana. No mountain-scapes or white-water rivers. Wondering how to do an n scale soybean field...

I was having a problem, when I first registered, the site decided to reject my log in as Spam, and told me to contact an administrator, which was difficult because I couldn't log in. My new account works, but if I inadvertently use the 'cursed' log in, I'm locked out of the site entirely. And it's difficult to log out. Strange...

Hopefully that doesn't happen anymore!

What part of Indiana are you in? I'm up in Ft Wayne, but spent 20 years in Indy. Grew up in Elkhart/Goshen area.

Can you use your staff to conjur up the lay out? Analnathrak uthasbethud doshieldienve - oops sorry wrong movie :)

Did you drive a horse and buggy? I've only been to that part of the country once, and through it several times.

Sorry off topic, back to the more appropriate.... welcome mithrandir.

No, but this is Amish country. In the city of Fort Wayne, you won't find many Amish. A county south, where my wife grew up, the local Amish use uncovered buggies.

The next several counties NW of Fort Wayne have Amish with the standard black covered buggies.

We now refer to the uncovered buggies as sport-buggies. Got the top down, and cruising for ladies on a weekend!
