Hi there, my name is Dave, I live in Australia and have been involved with model railroading on and off since I was a child, I am now 68.

Since 2005 I have built three N scale layouts, Japanese. British and American.

Because of the reliability and running quality of American locos I am in the stages of building a new freelance layout called "Stone Valley".

Stone Valley is still in the early stages of construction and is based on a Heritage Railroad set in a mountainous region somewhere in the USA, I will post pictures when the layout has advanced a little further.

Even though I grew up in the British steam era because of the mighty trains and wonderful scenery in the USA I have become a total US railroad fanatic with a great thirst for information.

Welcome to the forums, Dave. This is a great place to get answers to your questions on American railroads. Lots of good people here with a lot of talent and knowledge.

I am modeling in N scale and will be starting my new layout this fall. I'll be waiting to see the pictures of your layout and maybe getting an idea or two.

Hi There Tuna thanks for the welcome, although I do have a few steam locos I will be running diesel only on this layout.
